John, a native New Yorker, grew up in a conservative, God-fearing home, where he was the oldest of eight children. His father was a hard-working minister for a local congregation, and his mother was a loving, devoted woman who homeschooled all her children until they were eighteen years of age. It wasn't until John was nineteen, when the Biblical teachings he heard his entire life, and when prayers he prayed daily, almost ritually, finally culminated into a true understanding and personal relationship with God, through His Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus). Since then, John's love for film-making, and excellent technical skills, inspired him to make "Movies with a Message." Alyse was born and raised in a Jewish home in northern Jersey, Bat Mitzvah'd at thirteen, and attended Hebrew school, Hebrew High School (and synagogues) her entire life. At the age of twenty, however, Alyse had a supernatural, life-transforming experience, when someone shared the message of God's love with her, explaining that Yeshua, was and is, the Jewish Messiah. Since then, Alyse has had many other dramatic experiences and has devoted herself to prayer and in depth studies of the Scriptures, which confirmed the truth of the Jewish Messiah to her heart. As a team, John and Alyse endeavor to reach both Jew and non-Jew with the amazing message of God's love and saving grace through Messiah Yeshua. The two met fifteen years ago, while attending a Bible Study at a Florida university, married nine years later, and currently reside in the Sunshine State with their four, beautiful children. "For Such A Time" is released and distributed by Tender Shoot Films and is available on DVD in the online store. |

Raising Awareness for DYSAUTONOMIA
Although Alyse experienced a supernatural healing a few years ago from this debilitating illness, after the traumatic death of her father (as he passed by her side) Alyse had a sudden relapse of this condition and still struggles with the autoimmune disorder called, "Dysautonomia" (otherwise known as "POTS"). She has been hospitalized for this on numerous occasions, experienced debilitating symptoms and blood pressures readings for years, at times, as low as 50 over 30. Through her trials, and the disability of this illness, however, Alyse is a fighter and strives to press in to God each day. Her goal is to be the best wife she can be toward her husband, raise her four children to honor and love the Lord, and promote The Good News of Yeshua Messiah through film whenever she is able to do so. If you'd like to learn more about the debilitating disease "POTS," please visit the site below. Please also continue to keep Alyse, and the rest of the Merritt family in your prayers. One day, they are all believing God for total, permanent healing from this challenging and misunderstood condition. Toda raba! Find out more about Dysautonomia: www.dinet.org |
